Today we are sharing inspiration from blogger, Cheryl Hutcherson! Cheryl’s a super sweetheart and we are just thrilled to have her join us today!
Hello! My name is Cheryl and I’m a wife and SAH mom of 2 great kiddos! I love to craft, mostly cardmaking, whenever I get some spare time (rare)! I hope you’ll stop by and say hi at my blog (www.pennantsandpinwheels.
I’m super excited to be guest blogging here at Market Street Stamps! Can’t even tell you how shocked I was when I got the email from Angelica! Angelica, thank you so much for this opportunity!
I simply adore the Gone Campin’ set from MSS. I was so excited to be able to use it for this blog post!
As today is my mother’s birthday, I wanted to make a card in her honor. The Gone Campin’ set was perfect because she and my father took us kids camping a lot when we were young. It certainly didn’t give me a love for camping (bugs, ew!), but they were fond memories (not counting the severe sunburns).
For this card, I paper-pieced the camper and fire. They were fairly easy shapes to fussy cut, so it wasn’t real time consuming…love that! I used Basic Grey “Clippings” 6×6 paper.
I added pop-dots to the door and heart window to add dimension.
Happy Birthday, Mom, and thanks for being my biggest fan! Wish I had half the crafty talent that you have in your little pinky!
And on not being as crafty talented as my mother, well….
Sometimes life just sucks! But you keep gettin’ your craft on anyway! This will be the only mosquito I will ever think is cute! This is a great, simple card to send someone who might be having a tough time to let them know you’re thinking about them and to help bring a smile to their face. I love that this can be a card for a guy or a girl! I used Echo Park’s “This & That” 6×6 paper.
Hope you’ll check out my blog, Pennants and Pinwheels!
